Artwork

RESOLUTION/FILE TYPE
Vector-based images are preferred over all other image types. This will ensure the cleanest, most crisp reproduction of your artwork on textiles. All text should be outlined and ideally clipping masks should be flattened before submitting artwork.
Raster images should be created at 300 dpi or better in RBG mode. Creating and saving files in RBG will give more accurate results in color reproduction when screening takes place.
PREFERRED FILE FORMATS: Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
ACCEPTABLE VECTOR FILE FORMATS: .EPS, .SVG, .PDF(vector)
ACCEPTABLE RASTER FORMATS: 300 dpi or higher .jpeg, .gif, .png or .tiffs are all usable.
*Raster images require extra time to prepare and often require and extra fee to prep for film output.
Hot Tips
Each spot color in your artwork requires a separate screen on press. Fewer colors = cheaper printing costs.
Halftone blending can accomplish a full gamut of colors with fewer screens.
Larger prints with lots of ink will feel heavier than smaller prints or those with more open space
We have a list of standard “bucket” ink colors (generally all the primaries or colors you may see in your child’s paint or marker set. Custom colors can also be made using the Pantone (PMS) mixing system. We use the Pantone Solid Color Coated formula guide.
Art Fees
We charge $50 per hour for any changes we may need to make to your art.

ARTWORK SIZE AND PRINT PARAMETERS
TEES AND OTHER GARMENTS WITHOUT FRONT POCKETS
Standard max sizing for adult garments is 14.5 inches wide by 17 inches tall.
Youth garments and items with pockets (pullover hoodies, polos, etc) will have smaller parameters based off the printable area.
Oversize printing for items such as bandanas, posters, or tablecloths available upon request.
BEST PRACTICES FOR GRAPHIC SIZING
To ensure the quickest turnaround, best pricing, and most consistent prints, it’s important to select a size that will work on all the garments in your print run. Printing your graphic at more than one size or scale will be considered a separate print run and billed as such.
For prints on the fronts of shirts, we recommend:
Unisex/Mens: 12 inches wide or less
Womens: 10 inches wide or less
Youth: 6-10 inches wide depending on age range
These are just recommendations but prints that are too wide can wrap into the armpits on smaller garments.
BRIGHT/LIGHT COLORS ON DARK GARMENTS
When printing bright or light colors on dark garments a non-visible white under base is required to make the colors pop. This will add and additional color to your design/printing fees. See below for a visual representation.
OTHER STUFF/CHALLENGING PRINTS
